From the Heart of the Orchestra
May 6, 2019, 7:30pm

At the end of a seven-week strike for a fair contract, the symphony orchestra players wish to say thank you to Chicago and the thousands who helped them attain their goals.

The Musicians of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performed “From the Heart of the Orchestra” Concert at the historic Auditorium Theatre, the original home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, made possible by the generous underwriting of the Alphawood Foundation-Chicago.

John Stafford Smith: The Star-Spangled Banner
Ralph Chaplin: Solidarity Forever

Gustav Mahler: Symphony No.1 "The Titan"
